Maximum nine units of Economics 496 or 596; maximum three units of 499; and maximum three units of 495 may be applied to the major. The major in economics can lead to either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree. Course work for the Bachelor of Arts degree requires 24 upper-level economics credits (2000+); the Bachelor of Science degree requires 29 upper-level economics credits (2000+). Both also require 12 credits of 2000-level "related" courses.All major requirements must be completed with a grade of C- or better. Students must also achieve a combined grade point average of a 2.0 in all major requirements. The courses utilized to fulfill major requirements may not be used to "double-count" for other major requirements.
